Biography

Ján Krošlák was a Slovak tennis player who played professionally from 1993 to 2007. Krošlák achieved a career-best singles ranking of 53 in the world in September 1999, and a doubles ranking of 215 in the world in June 1997. After his tennis career he was elected as a member of Parliament (MP).

Krošlák won two singles titles on the ATP Challenger tour, the first in Australia in December 1994, and the second in Germany in February 1995. He also won two ATP Championship singles titles in the mid-1990s with victories against Javier Sánchez and Aleksandr Volkov. He represented Slovakia in the singles and doubles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics but he did not progress past the first round in either.

After his tennis career Krošlák entered politics and was elected as an MP to the National Council of Slovakia in 2020 with fellow tennis player Karol Kučera.
