Biography

Ali Reza Azizi played football for Iran at the 1972 München Olympics. He was also on their team in 1976 at Montréal but did not play in any matches. Azizi was a midfielder who helped Iran win the 1976 AFC Asian Cup. He began his club career with Homa in 1972 and then joined Persepolis in 1975, playing with them through 1979. Azizi led Persepolis to the 1979 Espandi Cup title and helped them win the 1976 Iranian Championship. He had a brief stint with Bank Meili before retiring.
