Biography

Suharyadi was an Indonesian professional tennis player who achieved a career-best singles ranking of #327 in the world in July 1988, and a doubles ranking of #310 in the world in October 1990. He played on Indonesia’s Davis Cup team from 1984 to 1993 and competed at three Olympic Games.

Suharyadi competed in the singles at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics when tennis was a demonstration sport, losing in the first round to American Kelly Jones. Suharyadi then competed in the doubles at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, reaching the second round at the 1992 Games. At the 1990 Asian Games he won gold in the mixed doubles and bronze in the team event.
