Biography

Marianne Noack was a member of East Germany’s women’s gymnastics team, winning the bronze medal in the team all-around event at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. Individually she placed 27th in the all-around and tenth on her best apparatus, the balance beam. In 1969, she won her only East German national title on the vault. Noack later studied sports at the DHfK in Leipzig and became a gymnastics coach in Cottbus.
