Biography

Gretel Schiener, an East German gymnast, finished sixth with the team in the all-around event and 34th in the individual all-around at the 1960 Roma Olympic Games. She did not advance to any of the individual finals. Schiener never won a national title, but at the East German nationals she placed second and third on beam in 1959-60, respectively, and third on the vault in 1959.
