Biography

The West German women’s gymnastics team placed ninth at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics in the team all-around event. Team member Angelika Kern came in 43rd in the individual all-around. Four years later in München, the team finished eighth, and Kern finished 48th in individual all-around.

Domestically she won several West German national titles (1969-70 individual all-around, 1968-69 balance beam, 1969 floor exercise). Her daughter Anna Bader became one of the most successful European cliff divers.
