Biography

Katharina Wildermuth was a member of the German rhythmic gymnastics team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics that finished eighth out of nine. This event was held for the first time at the Olympics and consisted of the use of a ball and club in the qualifying round, and the hoop and ball in the final. Wildermuth was affiliated with TV Wattenscheid.

Wildermuth later became public relations manager with the German Bundesliga football club 1. FC Nürnberg. She was committed to social and football-cultural issues as part of corporate strategy and public relations. Wildermuth had studied theatre/media studies, politics and economics. During her studies, she worked for the German Olympic Sports Confederation, the German Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, and the Nürnberg State Theatre.
