Biography

Ralph Yandell was the only member of the Bristol and West of England AGA in the Great Britain team at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics. He earned his call up for the Games after being top scorer for the City of Bristol team that finished fifth in the Adams Shield for the National Team Championship that year. Individually, Yandell was three times the Bristol and West of England champion. After his competitive days, Yandell, an engineer by trade, continued giving exhibitions in the south-west of England with the Bristol club Broad Plain.
