Biography

Andreas Bronst was a member of the silver medal winning East German men’s gymnastics team at the 1980 Moskva Olympics. Individually he failed to reach a final, where his best results were 11th, 14th and 15th places. In 1979 he earned his only domestic apparatus podium with second on the horizontal bar. By profession Bronst worked with the IAT Leipzig (Institute for Applied Training Science) as a scientific employee, and was responsible for video techniques that analyzed training methods.
