Biography

German gymnast Rudolf Körner competed at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, finishing fifth in the team all-around event. He also finished fourth in the free system team all-around. The teams represented the Allgemeiner Akademischer Turnerbund Leipzig. Körner studied pedagogy.

During World War I Körner served in the German Navy with the rank of Oberleutnant zur See. During World War II he rose to Fregattenkapitän. After World War II he wrote historic novels about the history of students in Germany.
