Biography

Gymnast Hugo Peitsch finished 29th at the 1900 Paris Olympics in the individual all-around. This was the best result for a German gymnast in this competition. Four years later in St. Louis he had more success, finishing seventh in the individual all-around, fourth in the individual all-around, apparatus work, and 55th in the individual all-around, field works. He stayed in the US after the 1904 Olympics and worked as a gymnastics teacher in Philadelphia.
