Biography

Meg Gallagher attended Cal State Fullerton, graduating in 1985 with a degree in physical education, where she played on the basketball team. She later earned a masters’ degree at Fresno State University in 1991. She won a gold medal at the 1987 Pan American Games, and played on the winning team at the 1986 Pan American Championships. Gallagher also won a bronze medal at the 1986 US Olympic Festival.

Gallagher earned all-tournament honors in basketball at the 1985 Women’s National Invitational Tournament. She later became a basketball coach at various levels, notably as head coach at Northern Arizona University and then as associate head coach at Arizona State University. In 2024 she returned to Northern Arizona as a student success coach.
