At the 1952 Olympics, Olavi Rokka was 13th in the individual event and won a bronze in the team event. Two years later, at the 1954 World Championships, he finished 14th in the individual event and was fourth in the team event. Domestically, Rokka never won a Finnish title, earning three bronzes in modern pentathlon at the Finnish Championships (1952, 1953, 1957). He also won two individual épée silvers at the Finnish Championships (1952, 1955) and represented Finland at the 1957 Fencing World Championships. By profession, Rokka was a lawyer and from 1970 until his retirement in 1990 he worked as a civil judge with the Hyvinkää magistrate.
