Biography

Fabrice Santoro was a French tennis player who played professionally from 1988 to 2010. Primarily a doubles player, Santoro reached the rank of number six in the world in July 1999 and won three Grand Slam titles and two Davis Cups.

Santoro won the boys’ singles title at the 1989 French Open with victory over Jared Palmer. Santoro won six ATP singles titles during his career, with his first coming in October 1997 in Lyon, beating Tommy Haas in straight sets. Santoro had the most success in the doubles, winning 24 ATP titles between September 1995 and May 2007, having long partnerships with Olivier Delaître, Michaël Llodra, and Nenad Zimonjić.

Santoro reached five Grand Slam doubles finals, winning back-to-back titles at the Australian Open in 2003 and 2004 with Michaël Llodra. At the 2005 French Open Santoro and Daniela Hantuchová won the mixed doubles title beating the duo of Martina Navratilova and Leander Paes.
