José “Zé“ de Carvalho Filho was a Brazilian rower who competed during the 1950s. Ze de Carvalho was part of the coxed fours crew at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics but were eliminated in the repêchage. Two years later he became the South American champion for Brazil in the eight before retiring to work as a technical co-ordinator at CR Vasco da Gama. His two sons, Ronaldo and Ricardo, both competed in rowing at three Olympic Games in the 1980s.
