Biography

Willi “de Ox” Fischer was a German super-heavyweight boxer who reached the quarter-finals at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He then lost to the Bulgarian Svilen Rusinov by an 8-5 decision. Fischer won the International German Championships three years between 1996 and 1999. He was later twice suspended from competition sports due to doping irregularities and never really came back in the 2000s. He retired in 2009 without any more success. By profession, he became a self-employed fitness and personal trainer.
