German boxer Albert Leidmann came in second in the 1930 European Championships as a light-heavyweight. At the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics he lost his second round middleweight bout against upcoming bronze medalist Belgian Leonard Steyaert. Between 1930 and 1935 he fought as a professional. Leidmann went missing-in-action during World War II as of 1 February 1945.
