Biography

Poland’s Ewa Ambroziak started out as a swimmer before she took up rowing as a member of the SKS Czami Sports Club. During the 1970s Ambroziak competed at rowing events at the European and World Championships in the single sculls, and became the Polish champion in 1973. She competed at the 1976 Montréal Olympics, reaching the B Final to finish in ninth place overall.

Ambroziak graduated from the Pedagogical University in Szczecin, going on to become a rowing instructor and coach, which was then followed by a stint as a sports editor for a newspaper. She later emigrated to the United States with her husband where she worked as a home health aide.
