Biography

Julia Chilicki rowed in the quad sculls at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Chilicki always rowed the quad internationally, earning a silver medal at the 1995 Pan American Games. She competed at the World Championships in 1994-95 and 1998. In 1998 she was US Champion in the singles sculls and also won that event at the Head of the Charles regatta.

Chilicki rowed in college at the University of Rhode Island, graduating with a degree in sociology. She was also on the swim team in college. After the 1996 Olympics, Chilicki became an assistant swim coach at Springfield College and later was an assistant crew coach at Harvard. She eventually became head women’s rowing coach at her alma mater.
