Biography

Miodrag “Fule” Petrović was one of nine members of the Crvena zvezda (Red Star) rowing club who were selected to represent Yugoslavia at the 1948 London Olympics. Competing in the eights, the Yugoslavians were eventually eliminated in the round one repêchage. He later served as president of the club from 1954 to 1962.

An artist by profession, Petrović attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade where he studied graphic arts and painting. He was later the longtime technical director of the Serbian Institute for the Production of Banknotes and Coins (Zavod za izradu novčanica i kovanog novca) in Beograd and also designed several banknotes.
