Biography

Mauricio Kattan was a Bolivian sports shooter who specialised in the skeet event. Kattan had his first major success when he won gold at the 1981 Bolivarian Games in Venezuela. Three years later he was selected to compete at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, but finished a disappointing 64th out of 69 athletes who participated. From there he moved into coaching with the Bolivian national team, leading them to success at the 2010 South American Games in Colombia, where they won two gold and three bronze medals.
