Biography

Piero Errani is certainly one of the most significant members in the long history of the Ravenna Shooting Section. He participated in two Olympics, at München in 1972, and Montréal four years later.

Errani won the bronze medal at the 1971 Mediterranean Games, and participated in numerous World Championships. Domestically he was the winner of 24 titles, in all rifle events, and was the Compressed Air Rifle world record holder. In the 120-shots event, Errani was the national record holder for over 20 years.

Errani was a man of great human nature and collaborated with TSN Ravenna until the early 2000s, giving advice to young shooters and other specialists in the field. Errani, who owned a clothing store, passed away in January 2024, the month after turning 87.
