Oswald Reshke graduated in 1904 from the Kyiv Military School and entered the 8th East Siberian Rifle Regiment in 1909 as a lieutenant. At the 1912 Olympics he competed in free rifle and military rifle events. During World War I he served as staff captain of the 200th Kronshlot Infantry Regiment. In 1915 he was awarded the Order of St. Anna of the 3rd degree with swords and bow.
After the October Revolution, Reshke served in the army of the short-lived Ukrainian People’s Republic. In 1919 he was the head of the operational department of the headquarters of the Eastern Front and later chief of staff of the Kyiv group of the UNR army. He was married and had one daughter, but his further fate remains unknown.
