Biography

Josef Panáček was a skeet shooter from Czechoslovakia, although he did not start sports shooting until he was in his 30s. He competed at the 1976 Montréal Olympics and the 1980 Moskva Olympics. In Montréal, Panáček won the gold medal in the skeet event. In 1980, he also became the European Champion, before he retired from the sport in 1984. At the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, Panáček worked as a coach. He also worked as the manager of a hunting range.
