Biography

Michael Theimer was in the US Army in 1976, serving as a 1st Lieutenant at Fort Benning, Georgia. He served in the Army in the Marksmanship Unit from 1972-76, leaving as a Captain. Theimer graduated from Midwestern State University (Texas) in 1972, and later obtained an MBA from there in 1980.

Theimer then began an itinerant professional life, starting as an employment manager with United Technologies / Mostek from 1980-85. He was then a management development specialist with Gulf States Utilities from 1985-87. Theimer was a staffing consultant at Digital Equipment from 1987-90 and a college relations manager for Texas Instruments from 1990-95. He worked as a human resources manager for various companies from 1995-2005, before forming L. M. Theimer & Associates, a human resources consulting firm. Theimder was an adjunct professor at Colorado Technical University from 2010-13 and also began work in 2010 with USA Shooting as a youth programs and athlete development manager.
