Biography

Viki Sölkner was an Austrian diver and swimmer who was selected for the 1924 Paris Olympics in the springboard event. She closely missed the final six when she finished fourth in her pool of eight divers. The first three qualified for the final, and she was classified in eighth place. She was Austrian Champion in 1923 and 1929, and in 1929 won the national title 4x100 metres medley relay title.

Sölkner was also nationally successful as a track & field athlete and as a gymnast. She married Rudolf Ditmar in 1935 but divorced after two years. By profession, she became a dressmaker, but later worked with the municipality of her hometown Graz.
