Biography

Guy Hernandez’s greatest success in international diving came at the 1950 European Aquatics Championships, when he took silver in the 3 metre springboard event behind Germany’s Hanns Aderhold. Two years earlier, he had competed at the 1948 London Olympics, where he finished 20th in both the springboard and platform events. Born in Casablanca and training with RA Casablanca, over the course of his career he earned several Moroccan and North African titles, in addition to winning one French national championship in the springboard. He retired from active competition shortly before the 1952 Helsinki Games.
