Luisella Bisello was the best Italian woman diver from 1985-93. She won three Italian titles on one-metre springboard (1989-90, 1992), five titles on 3-metre springboard (1985, 1990-93), and six on the platform (1986, 1988-92). Bisello competed at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics on both springboard and platform. Her finest victory was at the 1987 Mediterranean Games where she won gold on the platform. She was an eight-time finalist at the European Championships, placing fifth on platform at the 1987 Europeans. Bisello also won the 1990 Madrid International on both springboard and platform.
