Biography

Ena Stockley was a New Zealand swimmer. From 1925 to 1929 Stockley was the national champion in the 100 yard freestyle. She was also the 100 yard backstroke national champion in 1929. Stockley competed in the 100 metres backstroke at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics where she finished in seventh place. Stockley also swam in the 100 metres freestyle, where she reached the semi-finals. Stockley set multiple national records during her career including the 100 yard freestyle in 1929 and four records in the 100 yard backstroke from 1927 to 1929.
