Biography

Mary Bedford was a South African freestyle swimmer. At the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics Bedford was part of the South African team that won the bronze medal in the 4 × 100 metres freestyle relay event. Bedford also swam in the 400 metres freestyle but was did not advance from her heat.
