Biography

Eliška Boubelová was a Czechoslovak swimmer who competed for the German sports club DSK Teplitz-Schönau. At the 1936 Berlin Olympics, Boubelová competed in the 200 metres breaststroke but she did not progress from her heat. In the same year, Boubelová married Czechoslovak water polo player Lešek Boubela with her transferring from DSK to ČPK Praha. The transfer resulted in Boubelová receiving a one-year ban from the German Swimming Association in Czechoslovakia, but was cancelled by the Czechoslovak Swimming Association on appeal.
