Biography

Jack Howell swam the 200 and 400 metre breaststroke events at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics, placing fourth in both. At the US Olympic Trials he had won the 400 breaststroke, but was later disqualified, and placed second in the 200 breaststroke. Howell represented the Oakland Athletic Club. He eventually worked as a credit manager in a finance company.
