Ronnie Mills competed for the Burford Swim Club of Fort Worth and Arlington Heights High School. His Olympic bronze medal was his major career achievement, and was accomplished only after his junior year in high school. He later swam for SMU, making All-American for three years, and won eight individual Southwest Conference championships.
