Biography

Linda Chisholm started college at the College of the Canyons, but would graduate from Pepperdine University in 1981. She made All-American while playing at Pepperdine, and competed in the 1979 Universiade. Chisholm later won a bronze medal at the 1982 World Championships, a silver medal at the 1983 Pan American Games, and the silver medal at the 1984 Olympics. In 1987 she turned to beach volleyball and played professionally through 1994, although she returned for one final season in 1997. During her pro beach career Chisholm won 28 tournaments, including six of the 16 grand slam events. She won one shootout (1992 with Liz Masakayan), three Nationals (1987-88 with Jackie Silva and 1991 with Masakayan) and two US Open titles (1987 with Silva and 1988 with Janice Harrer). At her retirement from competition she was 12th on the all-time beach volleyball money list.
