Biography

Eugen Mühlberger was a German weightlifter from Ludwigshafen. He finished a disappointing 12th at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics in the featherweight division. In 1930 he became European Champion, and was second in 1931 and 1933, and fifth in 1934. He won National titles in 1925-27, 1929 and 1932, and was runner-up in 1931, 1934 and 1936. Mühlberger set two featherweight snatch world records in 1929-30. He was killed-in-action during World War II in August 1944.
