Biography

German weightlifter Andrey Poitschke finished tenth at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics in the middleweight class. In 1997, he placed seventh at the World Championships and three years later came a disappointing 18th. Poitschke won two German national titles, in 1997 and 1999.
