Attila Czanka had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1986 World Championships Featherweight class (290.0 kg); 3rd in the 1989 World Championships Featherweight class (305.0 kg); 3rd in the 1994 World Championships Featherweight class (312.5 kg); 2nd in the 1987 European Championships Featherweight class (137.5 kg); 3rd in the 1988 European Championships Featherweight class (315.0 kg); 3rd in the 1989 European Championships Featherweight class (305.0 kg); 1st in the 1990 European Championships Featherweight class (310.0 kg); 3rd in the 1991 European Championships Featherweight class (287.5 kg); 1st in the 1993 European Championships Featherweight class (315.0 kg). He set one featherweight snatch world record in 1994.
