Jacek Gutowski had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1981 World Championships Flyweight class (240.0 kg); 3rd in the 1982 World Championships Flyweight class (245.0 kg); 2nd in the 1983 World Championships Flyweight class (250.0 kg); 2nd in the 1986 World Championships Flyweight class (252.5 kg); 3rd in the 1987 World Championships Flyweight class (247.5 kg); 3rd in the 1980 European Championships Flyweight class (225.0 kg); 2nd in the 1981 European Championships Flyweight class (240.0 kg); 3rd in the 1982 European Championships Flyweight class (245.0 kg); 2nd in the 1983 European Championships Flyweight class (250.0 kg); 3rd in the 1984 European Championships Flyweight class; 2nd in the 1986 European Championships Flyweight class (242.5 kg); 3rd in the 1990 European Championships Flyweight class (237.5 kg).
