Biography

Ken Clark began lifting in 1971. He competed as a heavyweight at the 1984 Olympics, placing fifth. He won an overall silver medal at the 1987 Pan American Games as a sub-heavyweight. Clark was champion at the 1981, 1982, and 1983 National Sports Festivals. He was US Champion from 1981-85 and again in 1987, placing second in 1986. Clark was Pan American Champion in 1981-82. At the 1984 Olympics, Clark twice pulled the bar to belt high and then dropped it. He later laughed that he now had a lift named after him.
