Biography
George Stott learned to wrestle at All Saints Gymnasium in Little Horton and won the English featherweight titled in 1914, winning the same title again in 1920. Stott worked as a fireman in Bradford as his career, and had to receive special permission to leave his job for three weeks to compete at the Olympics. Stott made the Olympic team after winning the 1923 Keighley Police sponsored wrestling meet, and getting thru the British trials in 1924.
