Biography

East German wrestler Dieter Rauchbach was eliminated early in the light-heavyweight class of the freestyle tournament at the 1960 Roma Olympics. He lost his first two fights and collected six bad points. Between 1955 and 1962 he claimed eleven national titles. In 1959 he placed sixth at the World Championships. In 1963 he was awarded the “Master of Sports” title in East Germany.
