Biography

Kenny Carr was a small forward who attended high school powerhouse DeMatha High School, and then graduated from North Carolina State University in 1977. Carr was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the sixth overall pick of the 1977 NBA Draft. He played in the NBA from 1977-86 with the Lakers from 1977-79, then with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 1979-82, briefly with the Detroit Pistons in 1982, and finishing his career with the Portland Trail Blazers from 1982-86. Carr was a solid NBA player, scoring 7,813 points in his career, averaging 11.6/game, and grabbing 4,999 rebounds, for an average of 7.4/game. His best season was 1980/81 with the Cavs, when he averaged 15.3 ppg and 10.3 rebounds/game.
