Biography

Carlo Cerioni played basketball for Olimpia Milano, AMG Rieti, Ginnastica Roma and Pallacanestro Varese. After retiring he became the coach at Ginnastica Roma, and from 1969-75 was coach of Italy, leading them to a bronze medal at the 1975 Mediterranean Games.

As a player, Cerioni made his international début at the 1947 European Championship in Praha, and went on to win 70 caps and score 449 points. He won a bronze medal at the first edition of the Mediterranean Games at Alexandria, Egypt, in 1951. Cerioni also appeared in the 1953 Europeans in Moskva in 1953.
