Italian freestyle wrestler Pietro Marascalchi had a brief career from the late 1950s until the early 1960s. Competing in the heavyweight class, Marascalchi finished fifth at the 1959 World Championships in Tehran. This performance earned him a place on the Olympic team to compete at his home Games in Roma in 1960. After receiving a bye in the first round, he then beat Kaoru Ishiguro (JPN) and Lucjan Sosnowski (POL), before suffering two loses to finish fourth overall. Following his wrestling career Marascalchi worked as an actor and stuntman, appearing in a handful of films during the 1960s.
