Biography

Bruto Testoni was one of the best Italian wrestlers in the 1920s. He competed in two Olympics, 1920 and 1924, both times in the light-heavyweight division of the Greco-Roman wrestling competition. Testoni also won nine consecutive Italian light-heavyweight titles from 1911. Like his fellow Olympian, Renato Gardini, Testoni also won the prestigious “Pentathlon Reale“, for his contribution in popularising wrestling in his home city of Bologna.
