Latvian heavyweight wrestler Nikolajs Fārnasts withdrew after losing his first-round bout against the German Jakob Neser. Allegedly, he slept away the time when he was to face his next opponent. In 1907, he became champion of the Baltic provinces of the Russian Empire. Later, he appeared in professional competitions.
