Biography

Armando “Chaparro” Herrera played basketball for Mexico at the 1960 and 1964 Olympics. Internationally he also competed at the 1959 Pan American Games, and won a bronze medal at the 1962 Central American and Caribbean Games. Herrera became a coach, leading the Distrito Federales to a national championship and he also directed the Aztecas of Mexico City.
