Canadian sailor Billy Macintosh participated in international competitions during the early 1950s. In 1952 Macintosh was part of the crew that sailed in the 6-metre class at the Helsinki Olympics. The team had several consistent results, including three top-three finishes, but a DNF in the third race pushed them down the rankings, eventually placing them seventh overall.
