Swedish sailor Ulf Norrman was born in Göteborg in 1935. In 1967 Norrman and John Albrechtson became the national sailing champions in the Star class. This earned the pair a place at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics where they finished ninth. That same year they also won silver in the same event at the Star European Championship.
