Biography

East German sailor Jörg Schramme partnered with Uwe Steingroß at the 1976 Montréal Olympics in the Olympic Yachting Center at Kingston, Ontario and at the 1980 Olympics when the sailing events were held in Tallinn in Estonia. At Kingston they were in the Flying Dutchman class and finished 15th. At Tallinn they then moved to the Tornado multi-hull boat class and placed eighth. In 1976 and 1979 they won the nationals with the Flying Dutchman. Schramme later led a shop for yacht and boat requirements at Treptow.
